Yuck or Yum McD's

OK I'll be the first to say I love McDonald's, but this is so gross and turning me off fast. I read an article on Yahoo! about this lady who left a happy meal setting in her kitchen for six months. After six months nothing had changed about the happy meal other than it got hard as a rock.
What are we feeding our kids and ourselves? What's in that stuff to make it where mold doesn't even grow on it? What's wrong with just serving us a normal burger? I want a burger that doesn't perserve itself. My daughter isn't old enough to eat happy meals yet, but she does eat the fries. I'm thinking about cutting that out of her diet.
If it doesn't change in 180 days, what is that doing to our insides? Where's the owner of McDonald's when you need to ask all these questions? Now ask yourself, do when want to keep eating this?
I'm not going on some big McDonald's strike. Like I said I love McD's. But I think we need to set high standards for our food.

Cuponk

Really? I have never used this and nor do I want to. Its a cup and a ping pong ball. Wow the cup has zombies on it and lights up. All the pictures and lights still doesn't change the fact that its still a cup and a ball. Really now, it comes with trick cards? That doesn't make it any different. It's a cup and a ball.
Are kids these days so bored that they are playing with cups and balls? Go outside and play. I would never waste my money on this crap. OK I know my daughter isn't old enough to want stuff like this, but even if she was I would not, in anyway buy this. I have a cup in the cabinet and a ball probably laying under my couch, there you go play away.
I can't believe someone is making money off this thing. What a genius. You painted a cup and put a sticker on a ball. Congrats you fooled a bunch of people into buying your random crap. Way to go!

Please people think before you buy.

Jack Daniels BBQ Sauce

This stuff right here is awesome. I 1st tried it at T.G.I. Fridays. Then I told myself I had to have it at home. So I got some and start throwing it on my pork chops. My hubby also loves it. I have only tried it on pork. But I'm thinking of throwing it on some chicken. That's what it was on when I had to at T.G.I. Fridays. So I'm thinking I will be awesome.
I so think everyone should try it. It's not that pricey and so worth every penny.

To Be Skimpy or Not To Be Skimpy

I just read this news article on Yahoo about cheerleaders and skimpy uniforms. One group in Florida was pushing to wear smaller outfits and the other in Connecticut was pushing for uniforms that covered their midriffs.
This shows a lot about today's girls. The girl from Connecticut had a study on her side. A study that showed in college cheerleaders who's outfits showed midriffs had a higher risk of getting an eating disorder. Which I can understand. You're out in front of millions of people, in the stands and on TV. If I was in front of that many people every weekend in something showing off my body I would do anything to look good. Not saying that getting at eating disorder is good, in no way am I saying that. I give this girl so much credit for pushing for uniforms that make the girls feel better about themselves.
Now these girls who are pushing for smaller uniforms should be slapped. If they were my daughters I would take them to a whore house and show them what their trying to look like at the age of 16 through 18. I know that's harsh of me to say but I think in this day and age we need to start respecting our bodies as women. As a 21 year old I know that they only want smaller uniforms because they think it makes them all sexier ( sluttier) to guys. As a mother I think we need to teach our daughters that wearing little to nothing is not being sexy. We need to teach them that their bodies need to be respected by other and themselves.
OK I'm starting to rabble and this is just my opinion. Here's the article you can read and make your own opinion, Yahoo, cheerleaders.

Smallville Presents a Superman in Progress [Guest Post]

Smallville Presents a Superman in Progress
Posted by Heriberto Fuentes
"Smallville," the CW series that creatively re-imagines the Superman story, is going into its tenth season this fall. I watch the show regularly on direct tv florida, though I've gotten a bit behind lately. Nonetheless, I love the way the series makes this classic superhero palatable for contemporary audiences.
Clark Kent is a freshman in high school as the series begins. Played by Tom Welling, he's not exactly the bumbling, bespectacled geek Christopher Reeve portrayed in the movie, but although he's burly from years working the farm, there is a definite awkwardness about him. He knows he's different, but he doesn't know why.
"Smallville" is the story of that process of discovery and how it is encouraged along by his deeply devoted adoptive parents, Martha and Jonathan Kent. Clark never becomes Superman in the series, but he routinely performs rescues, often at the expense of his personal happiness.
He allows very few people to learn of his abilities, as he worries that their knowledge could put them in danger. Nonetheless, he does have several close friends, most especially Chloe, a character added for the series. This plucky cub reporter is great at getting to the bottom of mysteries but wishes she could figure out her best friend.
I'll be sad to see "Smallville" come to a close this year. Superman has never looked quite so good.

Repair Pal.com

Okay ladies, we all have cars and not all our husbands can work on them for us. So here's a site where you can find a shop, hear from experts, and track your service. If you're in the Phoenix area check out this page for auto shops near you repairpal.com/phoenix. These site comes with Google map and also lets you know what your repairs should cost.
The site also offers car info. For example information like recalls and ratings on lets say a 2001 Ford Escort, 2001 Ford Escort info. So if you're out car shopping you can stop by Repairpal.com and see different ratings on cars you are looking for. You can also see Q&A from other users of the site and see what they think about the car.
RepairPal.com also has a cool feature of a auto repair encyclopedia. Wondering about your timing belt check this page, part of the auto repair encyclopedia timing-belt-replacement . If not your timing belt, how about your water pump? Here's a link to water pump replacement, water-pump-replacement.
I find this site super helpful. The next time my car needs a repair this will be the 1st site I visit for information about car repair and shops in my area.

Easy A

I wanted to see Easy A sense I seen the preview on tv. I love Emma Stone. She was great in The Rocker, Zombieland, and Super Bad. This movie was cute. I loved Emma's character. She had some awesome witty come backs.
The movie is about a girl who just trys to find a way out of camping with her best friends werido family. That lie goes to helping a friend and then another person. So all the lies were just helping people. She also like the attention she was getting. So she ran with the lies and played the part. She played the part very well and with some hot outfits.

And like all teen movies, it had a happy ending. I'm not going to be a super spoiler and tell you the ending because i think everyone should see this movie!
Easy A gets an easy 10stars!! My husband even liked it!

You start by dressing your wizard to look how you would like, then your off in the wizard world doing quest and fighting evil tings that have taken over the Wizard City.

I started playing because my husband has been playing the xbox like non-stop sense Halo Reach came out. I have it quit fun and helps time pass. If your a fan of WOW then you'll like Wizard 101. Check it out!!!

They have even add Wizard of Waveryplace star Selena Gomez in to thr game, which I found super cute.

Mila's Daydreams

This is the cutest, must original blog I have seen in a while. When I saw it I knew I had to tell the world, well my readers if there is any, about it.

Mila's Daydreams is a blog done by a mother of a beautiful little girl. While the baby is napping the mother comes up with this ideas of what she is dreaming about. The ideas this woman thinks of are just so amazing. I wish I had that kind of imagination. After she comes up with the idea about what her daughter is dreaming, she uses things around the house to create a scene around her sleep bundle and then takes a snap shot. These pictures are so darling, they make your heart melt. Looking through these pictures just make you fall in love. In love with the innocents of a small child. In a world of hate, crime, and war, these pictures remind us of a time where things were simple and easy. The world of a child.

I hope after reading this everyone clicks the link and heads right over to Adele Enerson's blog and sees the beauty i have seen.

Munckin Snack Catcher

We just bought this for our daughter last night. I thought it was a wonderful idea. I'm a mommy that doesn't like mess, tough luck on my part huh? LOL
So i thought this would be perfect for our one year old little munckin who loves finger foods and feeding herself. So we headed down to good ol' Walmart and got her one. At 1st she didn't know what to do. It was funny watching her putting it to her mouth and trying to drink out of it. I showed her how it worked and she just got mad that she couldn't get her favorite snack out.
So this morning we tried again. She got better at it and she got one out. It's still a hit and mess type thing but I see her getting better.
I love this little thing. I think every mom of a toddler should have one. It takes some learning but in the end i see great things coming out of it.
I will be updating this post as Skylee gets better at getting her snacks out and let everyone know how it's going. so keep checking back over the next few days.

I give it right now 6 out of 10 stars!!!

Update:

Skylee has learned how the snack ctcher works. She's doing pretty good with it. Still sometimes a hit and miss game. But I love this little thing.

Every mom of a toddler needs one!!!!

True Blood season 3 finale ( Spoiler )

OMG!! That's the only words I could seem to say last night after i watch True Blood's season three finale. They really left us with a crap load of cliff hangers. Just about every cast member had their own cliff hanger.
They had Sookie going off with the fae. Could she really leave her life behind, her friends, family, Bill, to live with the fae?
Bill's gone crazy along with Lafayette. I don't even know if I like Bill anymore. From what Eric has said Bill and Sookie's own relationship has been a lie, poor Sookie. What's Eric getting out of telling Sookie all of Bill's secrets? And omg, poor Lafayette. He had to watch his mom go crazy as a child and now he thinks he's going crazy. I hope not, I like him too much to see him all crazy.
Now what about Tara? Where the hell is she going? And what's up with her hair? I personally don't like it short. Has Sam went back to his old ways? I mean good Lord don't mess with Sam's money, he's killed once over it, he'll kill again.
There's was just so much going on this season. They already had vampires and MaryAnne. Now they through in werewolves, fairies, and now witches! I love it! At least with the fairies and witch in the mix it's not so much like Twlight. Now if Sookie leaves Bill for Alcide I'm going to call is the Adult Twight with more Sex. I mean come on the girl leaving the vampire for the werewolf.
All together great season. Great story lines and awesome new cast members. Looking forward to seeing more of Jason's new girlfriend, that guy is such a romantic. Hope everyone enjoyed it as much as i did.

Man, Woman, Wild

Last night the Hubs decided that we would watch Man, Woman, Wild. We thought it would be funny to see a married couple out in the wild. And wow were we wrong.
Not only was the show not funny, we couldn't even finish the show. One thing that turned us off was the fact that they started the show saying they have nothing but the clothes on the back and a knife. Then we see the wife with a backpack. Then later we see the couple wearing work gloves. Don't tell us one thing and show us another. So what your boat went down and you just happened to be wearing your work gloves, really?
Me being a woman I hated the fact that they were both extra orange. They both must have gotten spray tanned right before they started shooting the show. The poor wife got her spray tan but couldn't get her roots touched up. I don't think I could set though the whole show, so boring. Please people don't waste your time with this show.

Manwich Casserole

Thanks to the great search engine Google , I came across a site Cooks.com that offered a new spin on the old Manwich sloppy Joe.

1 lb. ground beef

1 can Manwich

2 cans crescent rolls

2 pkgs. shredded cheese

Heat oven according to biscuit instructions. Brown ground beef. Add Manwich and simmer. In baking dish cover bottom of dish with a layer of crescent rolls, then a layer of cheese. Add Manwich mixture. Top with a layer of cheese and the last can of crescent rolls. Bake according to instructions on crescent rolls. Let cool 5 minutes.

Being that there are only three of us eating dinner I used 1/2lb on ground beef and 1/2 a can of Manwich. Which i should have used the whole pound because my Husband fell in love with this casserole.
I didn't have crescents on hand so i used Grands biscuits.
I browned the ground beef and mixed in the can of Manwich, then added cheese into that mix. I poured the Manwich into the casserole dish and added more cheese. Then topped that with the biscuits and more cheese. Baked the casserole in the oven until the biscuits were done.

Dinner time rolled around, the Hubby came home from work. Our daughter starts to get unset for no reason at all. I get everyone to the table and serve the Manwich casserole. My husband fell in love. His words, " Even though Skylee was crying it was great dinner. You should have made more. You keep cooking like that I'll have to stick around." LOL!
I have to say myself it was awesome. I've always loved sloppy joes and this just made it so much better. Also all the cheese just put it over the top.

I give it an 8 out of 10.
